Yesterday I decided to take the plunge, despite the voices in my head (mainly my mothers), and adopt myself a kitten. This is Amelia (as in Pond) shes almost 6 months old and about 5 pounds. I walked into the shelter without the intention of coming home with a living animal but the second I saw this little one I knew she had picked me. She was standing up against the glass meowing and when I walked over to her she rolled over for a second and then proceeded to pounce at my fingers on the glass and when Richard and I decided to meet with her she sat right in between us and purred. We were smitten and so far she has lived up to every expectation.
Amelias life for the past day has consisted of walking around the apartment playing with everything because everything is a toy to her and sleeping in either mine or Richard's laps. All night last night she slept in between us and purred. Her and Maya (for those of you who don't know, Maya is my Siberian Husky) have been perfectly fine towards each other. They aren't cuddling yet but they don't get mad at each other either so thats great.
I'm so glad to be able to share her with you and you will be seeing a lot more of her!
