Currently Wishing For....


1. Free People Joan of Arctic Boot -  It's cold here and while it isn't snowing enough to stick, I'm dying for these cute weather proof boots!

2. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette- My obsession of watching youtube videos has lead me to hear nothing but good things about the highly coveted naked palettes, this particular one just seems to be more my speed.

3. Flying Doves Headwrap- Just look how cute! I'm already imaging all the outfits I can put together with this tied in my hair.

4. Blonde Hair- I'm aware of how hard to maintain and expensive blonde hair is for someone with my dark color but I'm DYING to go blonde! Not sure if it will even look good or if I'll ever have the guts to do it but I'm really wishing for blonde hair right now.

5. Brandy Melville Poly Flag Sweater- I can't even explain my love for this sweater, I've found myself on the brandy melville website just staring at this sweater about once a day.

6. Moon Phase Poster- As you might have seen in a pervious post I'm so obsessed with moon phases right now and this poster would look so cute hung up next to my bed.

Between vet bills and getting my camera fixed I won't be able to get any of these things anytime soon but a girl can dream!

  1. The first time you go blond it will cost a bundle but after that maintaining is cheaper because you aren't doing a lot of hair, typically just roots. I'd start with just highlights vs. all over color. I have a highlight on my crown only. Everything under is natural, but I don't have a lot of layers so it's not super noticeable. It also keeps your hair healthier vs. a fried out mess.
    My blond hair typically costs me $75-$115 to maintain but I stretch as far as I can between appointments, I like a little bit of dark root cause I think it's sexy. I wait till they are about an inch before I go back, usually 9 weeks. And then you just use the appropriate phosphate/sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners. (john frieda sheer blondes is good for maintaining the color.) Deep condition once a week. Leave in conditioner and Moroccan argan oil after every shower and wash it every other day. It sounds like a lot but it isn't.

  2. Now about the rest of the post! I actually have naked and naked 2 and find the colors in naked 2 more flattering for paler skin. I want that moon phase poster. I really want your moon phase shirt!

  3. Out of everything, I highly recommend investing in the naked shadows. I have the original and absolutely love it, and I forbid myself to buy the 2 until I use up the majority of the 1 because it's so expensive! But it's a must buy I love mine so much. Also, the moon poster is really cute! xx

  5. Ohh how adorable is that head wrap!! Love it. I would also love the Urban palette. I think you would rock blonde hair beautifully, I suppose it is high maintenance but maybe once in a while its worth it!
